Well, I've finally completed all my posts and my podcast. I have to say I am relieved. This has been a difficult fall to stay focused, but I made it!
This has been a great class with a mix of frustrations and excitement. I have learned a great deal. Of course, there is so much more to learn. For instance, I still haven't figure out how to post the MP3 file without having it directed to the specific server it's on. I'll get there but at least the podcast is posted.
I wish that I was actually in a classroom environment where I could daily apply all the technology we have studied. Web 2.0 is a powerful tool and I'm sure we've only seen the tip of the iceberg regarding it's future use. Of course, it sounds like there are still lots of hurdles to overcome within school districts to create access to Web 2.0.
I look forward to further exploration utilizing all the tools. I'm also looking forward to exploring in a more relaxed way because I felt a certain anxiety trying to accomplish each week's assignments. Many times I found myself wandering off on various tangents listening to podcasts. I guess that's what it's all about but sometimes I was a bit overwhelmed with the magnitude of information that's out there. The great thing about it though is its still there waiting for me.
I would have liked more opportunities to interact with fellow classmates. A collaborative project would have been quite the learning experience. Hopefully we'll all meet again, maybe in Second Life. I plan on checking in with the gathering that happens on Thursday nights. Thank you Jeff for all you knowledge and support. You are quite the busy person.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that a wiki collaborative project should have been included. The summer course had one that collaborated with some undergrads at a university in Canada. I was looking to do the same thing this course but that class wasn't offered again and I didn't get around to finding another class.
I'll have to rethink this. As I do think it would be beneficial for all of you to have to collaborate in this network space to see the pros and cons and the frustrations that come along with it. Thanks for pointing this out and I'll give it a think for how to make this a part of future classes.
I think that students would gain a lot even doing a collaborative project with other course members. Each student could have a section that they create, maybe related to the various topics. You could initially point out certain resources, ie pertinent podcasts and then the student looks for others to post to the wiki. You could even structure it so that you would supplement info that you feel would be helpful.
Of course, you know as well as I do that there's lot of people out there to network with to brainstorm methods.

There was a good deal to learn - the beauty of both our wiki and our blogs is we have the reference to return to.

http://divaonalimb@blogspot.com. Jeff's right about frustrations: one of the greatest frustrations in collaboration is when there isn't a mutual level of commitment. I too want to learn more about embedding podcasts so they don't feed through another server. There were some html tags that I didn't have the time to properly edit that I found through the blogger help section @ http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=80259&query=podcasts&topic=&type=f.
I promise to be honest upfront about collaborations. My fear is that outside of the pressure to "get it done", it will fall off the burner.
